Happy Holidays

I was just looking through the last couple posts and can't believe I didn't post a picture of this cute hat. I loved how it turned up and it was snatched pretty quickly when I listed it by an amazing artist Dre . I've picked up some really great pictures for her and still plan on having her do another one for me whenever we get around to having the basement finished. I'm in the process of making 2 more. One that is shades of green and one in shades of blue. They're 100% wool and light weight. Of course Pompoms are added for extra fun:)

I've also been working more scarflettes. They've been a great seller online. The shorter ones I've made are a bit versatile. The blue and brown one is the first time I've taken a picture of it this way, but many of the ones I've made before will work this way as well. Great to snuggle your nose in on those really cold days.
This is a new style a tried. I loved the yarn but there wasn't as much yardage in it so I attempted more of a collar scarflett and I really like how it turned out.
Here's one of the recent hats I listed. I've made a few of these and hopefully next year I'll have more instock. My boy loves his hat like this which says a lot because he really hates hats. I have a friend who bought some of these hats too and her boy wears his hat in the house.

Crazy December

I think December is busy for most people. It's been a bit insane for me, but I love being busy.

Here are a few things that have come off my hook in December:

Grape visor beanie

Yay! I finally figured out the visor. I have tried and tried and tried. It seems so simple, but for some reason it kept going wonky on me. Until last night! Ok, truth be told I did rip it out a couple times, but I think it turned out really good.

Beep Beep

I'm so excited about this new hat I made! It was a request so I'm hoping she likes it. I literally just finished it so I'm waiting to hear back. I love it so much I almost don't want to part with it! LOL. I guess I'll just have to make one for myself.

Busy Bee Making Hats

I've been super busy pumping out orders, which of course I love. But it leaves me with little time for blogging. But I wanted to post a few pictures of things I've sent off recently. All hats.

I also did my first craft show this weekend. I have to wait for the pictures to be sent to me before posting them. But I was thrilled with it and really felt like I was in my element. I loved the whole experience of it. Now I just need to figure out how to display things better. But it was such a great learning experience.

The latest off the hook

My husband and I have fallen in love with this hat. It quickly found a new home. But if a winter earflap hat could be called Divine, this one was. It was so soft and cozy! I made it out of 2 strands of the most luxurious yarn. Merino wool, alpaca and silk. And if providing warmth on a cold day isn't enough, even the yarn has a feel good story to it. A portion goes back the village to build schools for the Sheppard's children. How nice is that. I really hope the new owners loves it.

I am loving making these scarlets! They're so fun. I will confess one of my favorite things about them is picking out the buttons:)

Hey Cowgirl

My husband's cousin and his wife are expecting their first child. The Mom-to-be is wore cowboy boots with her wedding dress so I made these to send to them

Scarflettes added

I came across this great yarn that just screamed at me to buy it. I did and I made these scarflettes out of it. Only the brown is left now.
I've also completed a bunch of hat projects recently including more earflap hats & flapper / beanie hats. And these skull and crossbone hats. The black & white I have made before, but I was asked to make one in a light pink. It turned out super cute.

Minor Blip in our Move

We've recently moved to a new city. With this move someone our email addresses were deleted. They're working on it and they should hopefully be up and running sometime tomorrow if all goes well. So if you've tried to contact me via email there's a good chance it's bounced back. If you would like to contact me please either leave a comment here or go through Etsy to have a conversation with me. Or Facebook has been working well too!

Sorry. I hope I haven't missed anyone

Flower Power

I just finished a bunch of hats & flowers for some custom orders. Here are pictures of the flowers and some of the hats. I had to get all the other hats in the post before I had a chance to take pictures of all of them. I am planning on taking a bunch of pictures this weekend though of some of the flapper/beanie hats I've made for 0-3mths, 18-24mths, 2-4yrs and 5-8yrs. Plus some adult hats that I'm just about finished.

Itty Bitty Cuteness

How cute are these? They're so teeny tiny. Made with 100% cotton. I made the slipper a double thickness. They're just so sweet.

Just off the Hook

Here are a few things I've recently finished.

These two hats where shipped off this afternoon. I didn't have a lot of time to stage the photography since I was in a race with the mail pick up, but it gives a good idea of what they're like.

And another lip balm cozy I've recently listed. I just picked up a bunch more colours to make these and I'm almost done a one that is black on the bottom and red on top.

Chunky

Check it out.
It's a bit to big for my model, but it gives you a general idea of how it fits.
