My latest creations

An adult (lrg size) skullcap made from a cotton/nylon blend.

A toddler purple beanie/flapper crocheted with a white flower & glass beads

Various flowers made from 100% cotton. that I think I'll likely sell as "supplies" They can easily be added to different things - like glued to flip flops to brighten them up a bit

I think this is my favorite hat right now. It's made from 100% cotton and perfect for the spring! And it's machine wash & dryable. It's sized for a 2-3yr old.

Meet Franny the Bath Mitt - hehe. Again made out of cotton.

A lilac Adult flapper hat

And lastly another barrette I made:

Another Skully & Barrette

I made another cute skull cap. Brown with the beaded flower attached. Very cute! It's made from a cotton/nylon blend. Light weight, perfect for the spring/fall. And it's hard to tell from the picture but the brown is just a bit shimery (likely the reason for the nylon blend). This is a smaller hat then most of the others I've made. I'd estimate it to fit a 9-16mth child. (Just a bit to small for Carter's head!)

And I've also attempted taking a crocheted beaded flower and attaching it to a barrette, which I think turned out pretty good. Don't you? I'm going to make some of the smaller flowers and try putting two on a slightly larger barrette to see how that works out too.

Something new

I have all these great ideas of things I want to try to crochet with. The first was beads. I think I was sucessful in one of my attempt. Still trying it with different type of yarn & beads. The last one I did didn't turn out well, but I'm learning from my mistakes.

Here are some pictures of my latest creation. A pink skully with beaded crochet flowers! What do you think?

Excited!

I'm so happy! I just got feedback from my 2nd sale and the love the hat! I've sold 3 hats so far and I'm thrilled. Nothing sold on Etsy though...there's lots of great stuff on there though. I"m kind of hoping something will sell soon on there or I think I may start wondering if it's worth it.

I've been a busy bee. Besides getting the last custom size hat out the door I've been working on a bunch of other stuff. Some turns out, some doesn't. I've started to attempt bead crocheting. I messed up but I know how to fix it now. So watch for some new beanie/flapper hats with beaded flowers!
I'd love to hear anyones comments on my stuff or ideas/suggestions on stuff you think I should try. Colour combos, etc. Leave me a comment!

Here's a picture of one of the beanie hats I've done:

Mittens

I finished these mitts with some yarn that Sydney picked out. No point in listing them now since Spring is just around the corner. She calls them sparkly mitts.

Baby Shawl

I never posted the final picture of the baby shawl I crocheted awhile ago - so here it is. It's pretty big - so I had a hard time getting it all in a shot! Measures 58" width wise & 29.5" in length.

Grumpy pirate

I just finished this sweater, well almost finished. I still need to sew the buttons on in the back. But someone won't take it off! She wants to keep it, because it's like her brothers.
A bit hard to tell in the picture but the skull/cross bone is a pale pink.

Cowl & Booties

One of a few knit cowls I've made. I originally made a bunch of adult ones and thought it would be perfect for kids since they wouldn't have to deal with the strangling hazard of a scarf.

Crochet cowgirl booties. These likely fit from 0-3mths (well, not quite 0mths, maybe 1-4mths actually)
